The major scale therefore is made up of the sum of the two tetrachords which are divided by a tone (contiguous tetrachords). The very first note of the tetrachord has a distance of one fifth from the next note of the next tetrachord. For example, the Major Scale of Do, its first tetrachord would be Do-Re-Mi-Fa. Fa + 1 tone = Sol. The following tetrachord will be Sol-La-Si-Do. The most simple Major Scale to write or play on the piano is C major because it's the sole Scale that does not call for sharps or flats using only the white keys on the keyboard of the piano. Accidentals that should be remembered in Major Scale include things like: # this is basically the sharp sign and it makes a note a half step higher, b known as the flat sign and it makes the note a half step lower. This leads to a formula that you can use in the construction of Major Scales and simpler to memorize, and it is as follows: whole step-whole step- half step- whole step- whole step- whole step - half step.
