How to Use Our Site

The Internet is a network of computers, cables, routers, and other hardware and software that interconnect and run on a network.

NVBIA.ORG is a web site.  It is organized like a pyramid.  The top of the pyramid is NVBIA-Home, the web page you viewed when you first “called up” NVBIA-ORG.

Under NVBIA-ORG are a number of “second level” pages (such as Our Association, Info on Brain Injuries, etc.).  Each "second level" page may have one or more third and fourth level pages pages that supply supplemental information.

So long as you stay within the confines of our website you will find navigation links that will bring you back to NVBIA-Home or to an appropriate second tier site.  But if you wander too far off our web pages, you may have to remember to retype http://www.nvbia.org into your browser address window to return to NVBIA-Home.

Each page on our website has a unique left border where you will find navigation links that allow you to access:

As you explore NVBIA.ORG you will find our pages often contain links to additional sites.  You will know when you can "jump" to an external site if there is descriptive text displayed in a different color and underlined.  If you wish to explore the external link, “click” over it and your browser will take you there.  In all cases these links have been reviewed my NVBIA members and contain information that should supplement the information found on the page you were viewing.

After you have displayed a few Web pages, you can quickly navigate among the pages you have visited during the current session. To revisit a previously displayed Web page, you click the Back button on your browser's toolbar. Likewise, if you've used the Back button at least once, you can use the Forward button to return to a site you visited before going back.
